Question is there an easy way to get to the blog from this forum. I can’t seem to find a link at the top or anything.

My bad if I missed it. But sometimes you have to make websites completely idiot proof.

so I only just realised this thread existed. First I'll say this blog/forum kicks ass and I'm so glad I found it, so I don't want to seem rude or like I'm giving you shit. My one real suggestion- which might seem arse-backwards is to actually remove some of the sub-forums until the community grows more. There's a lot of sub forums/topics with very little activity, which kinda makes the forum look dead to a newcomer. The alternative which I've seen other forums do is when making a new post the user can select from a list of pre-made topics which are highlighted next to the thread title. Not sure if your forum software allows for this. Same thing with your main blog site (I think someone already mentioned this) can seem convoluted at first glance (cognitive overload), I'd look at reducing that big main menu down to 4-5 categories.

Threesomes is one of those tbh. It should probably be a part of the sex sub forum as opposed to its own section of threads

Hair doesnt really need its own one. Can either be discussed in style or everything else(as grooming threads have gone in there so far)

Meet ups: I know Chris did his divided into areas but id make it one sub section for now and people can post where they are as a thread.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. I've re-read it a couple times but I can't picture what you're describing?

sorry didn't really explain this quite well. I meant at the time of creating a new post, the author can click a drop-down menu with topic descriptions (eg. in the improvement forum there'd be options for "Fashion", "Money", "Mental Health") and then this highlighted at the start of the thread title. I can't find a good example of this, except for how it's done at something awful (the actual forum itself is aids though, stay away haha).



Not the best example because they use flashing gifs which i don't advocate. This was really just an idea I threw out there I don't really see it as necessary.

I do have one more suggestion though for your blog site, and that's to draw more attention to your coaching services as this is your money maker I'm assuming - it deserves more real estate than just another option on your menu bar. Anyway thats me done xD

Not a suggestion but I gotta say:

I love the "use a real pic for your avatar" rule.

You instantly made the forum stand apart from all the other crap out there. This is gonna repel the do-nothing guys and will attract the real action takers .

I don't know if this was mentioned somewhere but this needs to be at the bottom too. Every time I scroll down, I have to scroll back up

Edit: Andy, On page 3 you say " You're most likely on Chrome, which doesn't delete your cache even if you refresh the page." if you don't want this to be a problem, look into cache busting. You can force users' browser cache to refresh.

You should have a button that links back to your main website. I find it annoying that I need to remove part of your URL to just access your main website, since we reference it often.

Also, a button leading to your podcast right away, too.

That's fucking awesome! This is just optional and just icing on the cake, but how about finding a way to make the coaching button stand out (color, different text style, etc.)? Since that's the main way you make money off your site?

Does the search function work in the "hidden area" of the forum? Doing a search for "aspergers" as an example, didn't show up certain threads I was interested in.

Now it's possible to find all a user's post from the profile, it'd be nice to be able to find the users' topics. It'd make it easier to find the logs when they're not in the updated ones (also make it easier to find our own log)
