First of all, Hi, hope you having a nice day.

So as of today 31 July I have officially committed to take the leap into self-employment rather than take a job offer.

Just for context, the last time I posted I was on the tail end of a short 3 month IT support contract.
With the chance of a contract extension. Problem was I hated everyday and the pay was low.

In fact, the reason I ended up losing my V-card is that I faked illness to skip work, didn't want to waste my day so I went to see an escort in the afternoon.
I was absolutely miserable in employment, I would get ready for work and just sit there dreading the workday ahead.

If I was making enough money to support myself I could justify the gig but my take home after expenses left me either in the negatives or just flat broke.
If it wasn't for my mom helping me out some, I would have to take on debts.

So, this time I have decided to take a leap and start a barbershop business.

I was a barbers apprentice a while back and this isn't the first time I've run my own hustle.
I sold snacks in back college.
But back then I did it for pocket money, now I pay rent so I can't afford a casual attitude.

Today I visited a cosmetic school, asked for the fee, and will pay and start tomorrow.
Also, I visited my childhood barber and asked if I could work in his shop.
Turns out his old partner left and there's an empty chair and some spare clippers I could start with.
So that's where I will start learning and earning.
Wish me luck

Following. This is a business that can’t be outsourced to AI or overseas. Good barbers are hard to find

Great!

Just start, man.

Get some experience.

Start charging.

Get good results. And in time, you'll start to win.

ADD VALUE

If you find a chair, then you just need to obtain client results, testimonials, and market on socials, word of mouth, and hustle.

We can help you with that.

For now - just go do barber work, hone your craft, and above all else, get client results.

If your client results suck, you won't win.

You need to be good at what you do, and have good client results.

I have EXCELLENT client results. Andy has EXCELLENT client results. Many of us who run businesses, are very fucking good at what we do, and consistently get superb results.

Without that, it will be hard to make this your full time gig.

Hope this helps you understand that, if you can do well on a skill, and legit solve a problem, then you can suceed.
