Changing age and a sudden stop to matches

I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle.

I remade my hinge account changing the age from 31 to 25. Looks like I may have flagged something on Hinge's end, because I've gotten one match in about 2 weeks.

I didn't make any effort to cloak what I was doing, but I did try buying Hinge's premium subscription that allegedly pushes your likes to the top of the pile for girls. I'm pretty darn sure that my profile isn't being shown to anyone right now. I still have 371 matches from my account prior to the switch.

What's the latest on shadowbans and changing age settings? Am I alone here or is this a thing with an actual solution?

EDIT: I'll get my profile photos up on here too, in a bit. It needs a lot of work, but it was serviceable up to changing my age

Tinder for instance sets the auto range to 18-31 nowadays

Im not 100% on hinge but im 30, post that as my age, and have no issues with match volume

It's different for different age ranges and genders. An 18 year old girl does not see that range as a default.

When i last did a check with fake profile that was the default for a 20 yr old girl so fair enough. What are the current defaults?

Whoa, when was that? If it was recent then there is a chance it has changed in our benefit. I've never checked myself but on reports from other guys the top end of the range has never been that high in the past.

I wonder if it's different by culture too.

It was last year, but yeah tinder changes a lot so cant say for sure what it is now without setting up another one. I only went for 20 as thats the absolute minimum id go down to age wise

The test i did was for 21 not 20, ive found the screenshot i posted at the time. I did this with a fresh google acct and random pre paid sim.

At any rate, it looks like I stepped on a land mine when I changed it. I don’t want to immediately jump to the conclusion that I’ve been totally shadow banned, but in case I have been does anyone know the full protocol for getting around it?

If you got a match, you aren't shadowbanned. Post your photos here and we'll see what's up. Along with swipes per week, quality you swipe on, any incoming likes, etc.
