What do you do after the first date / how do you ask for a second date?

I'm curious because with the last few girls I've gone on first dates I'v been trying out different approaches for how to get the second date going.
Do you usually text the next day, wait a few days, only text when you're trying to set up the next date?
I'm interested to hear some different takes.

I am not the most experienced in here, but i would say just ask ,if they like you they will accept. If not next one.

There is an easy scheme if you need it.

Have you reached your goal on the date (likely getting laid)? If yes then do whatever you want to do. If no, set up another date and try reaching it again. Repeat until neccesary.

Doesnt really matter how you do it, unless you wait so long the girl forgets your existence (so a few days likely). Shot her a quick message after tho, she will not be left wondering whether the date was succes and the same goes for you.
