the angle from above is horrible for men. stomach to chest level is usually best. that leaves 1 and 4.
I don’t like selfies in OLD profiles unless it’s an artsy wide angle one or you’re doing something really cool. One is ok though.
the facial expressions in 1 and 4 are both pretty bad. one of your eyes is wide open. 4 is editable (would need original file since this is horrible quality). if you’re taking a selfie like that inside, it should be more of a smize/smirk/flirty type facial expression, and definitely not signal sadness, confusion or loneliness.

the “inside brooding” photo is not necessarily a bad idea, especially for juxtaposition if some of your other photos show you as a partying social person. but i don’t think many people on here have that problem haha. see below for 2 examples done pretty well

Personally, i like 4th picture the most, the only thing i feel is nesscery is a smile.
it seems like something that is pretty easy to recrate so - i'd take this picture again with a smile and use it untill you'll pull a better picture like the guys above mentioned

This right here is fucking KEY; so many men in general take photos from above and are oblivious of the unconscious message it sends. Photos from that angle make you look short and do NOT project an image of power. No offense to OP, this message was more of a rant of things people do in general.
Here's a fun exercise: Google some images of Tom Cruise. Then, look up his height. Go back and look at his photos; would you have ever guessed he was that height?
