Greetings Andy.
While skimming through your forums I came across a post stating you will be shortly relocating to Queensland and I suspect your intention is to distance yourself from the political environment of Victoria. But might I inquire why you picked Queensland from among all the other states?
I have also been contemplating moving away from Victoria due to the culture and political climate here, yet from what little research I have done all the states in Australia have a similar political inclination to that of Victoria.
Of course, this is not including the regional areas of each state, which to my knowledge are still quite conservative. Yet Labor controls all state governments. So, is there really a difference between the Palaszczuk government in Queensland and the Andrews government in Victoria? They are essentially from the same party and I suspect share the same political ideology? (Admittedly my knowledge regarding Australian politics is non-existent compared to that of American politics.. haha)
None of the other states will let me move at this point. It’s either QLD, or NT (no thanks), or SA (no thanks).
