With all the goals I’ve ever achieved, all the wild adventures I’ve been on, the stuff I’ve overcome and all I’ve accomplished, it’s all come down to the same 3 basic steps:

1. Give myself permission to suck.
2. Take one little baby step towards my goals each day.
3. Keep going/don’t quit.

That’s it. Every single goal you might have, the formula is always the same – no matter what the goal is.

1. You’ll probably suck at the start. That’s ok; we all suck when we’re starting something new. Embrace it & just do your best.

2. Do a little bit every day to move forward. If you miss a day here or there, if you have a bad day, that’s ok. You don’t have to be perfect; just take action most days.

3. Keep going, even when it’s difficult, even when you’re not sure if you’re going to make it. Hang in there, and be patient enough to keep at it for the months/years goals can often take. I promise you’re making progress.

That’s the formula to anything you want in life. Absolutely anything.
