You know, as I sat down to write this article today, I thought of all the things I could talk about, all the advice I could give you, the motivation I could fire you up with, the wisdom I could impart to you… And my mind came up with one thing, that’s maybe the only thing you really want to hear from me:
Everything is ok.
Everything is going to be ok.
This self-improvement journey; this weird path we’ve all decided to walk down, where we set a goal, feel all sorts of terror, fear and limiting beliefs around it, and then struggle to make it happen for a while… The whole self-improvement thing is equal parts beautiful, scary, empowering, disempowering, motivating, crippling, fun, heartbreaking, and a million other adjectives I could use.
At times, self-improvement is so intense we wonder, “Can I even do this? Can I even keep going?” Believe me, I’ve felt like that a billion times. And in those moments when I was doubting myself – when I was so convinced it wouldn’t work out for me – the only thing I really wanted to hear from my mentors and coaches was, “I promise you can do this. You got this, man. Just keep going.”
So that’s what I’m here to tell you. You do got this. You absolutely can do this. If you just keep going, it will all work out for you. I know it doesn’t always feel like that – many times it feels like you’re one bad day away from just giving up entirely. But you never know how close you are to the next breakthrough moment, when it all starts to feel a little easier, then even more easy, then all of a sudden the results are coming in as if by magic.
Whatever your goals might be, they’re within reach. And if you just keep going, you’ll achieve them.
